Thanks for the quick response Markus! Was HR allowed already modified by the groundball % in OOTP8? Looking at the new HTML output, it looks like nothing has changed. It seems that the majority of pitchers have GB% greater than 50% and even quite a few more than 60%. This is far, far off the major league average. Seeing that SkyDog ran this league with default settings, it seems like the HR allowed are way down and the GB% is very high. The major league average GB% is roughly 43% and HR/FB% is 12%. If you're going to set a default in OOTP9, you might want to take that into consideration.

I know in OOTP8, I've had plenty of pitchers with GB% higher than 50% give up 30-40 HR per year consistently. Just like you made the hitter's contact rating relate to Avoid K's, Power and BABIP (brilliant), I think the pitcher's movement rating should directly relate to GB% (along with perhaps the type of pitches and the Stuff rating).

Here are some great reads about how GB%/FB% relate to home runs allowed:

Don't mean to nit-pick here, but I play the game for the amazing statistical engine and I think that the pitching is the only thing that needs a bit of tweaking to perfect this engine! I was hoping that this was going to be a major focus for OOTP9 and hope that you can take a look at it for future updates/versions. Thanks for all the hard work!
