It's always nice to jump out to a 7-2 lead after 1. Toronto scored 1 in the sixth and 3 in the seventh to make it close, but we put 3 on the board in the eighththanks to a home run by Josh Fieldsto put the game away for good.
A.J. Pierzynski will be out 1-2 weeks with a bruised foot, so we'll put him on the DL and call up Cole Armstrong from Charlotte. So far in Charlotte, Cole was hitting .314 with 1 home run, 6 RBIs, and 5 runs scored.
