Leon Spinks vs. Boone Kirkman (1-0) – These two had the crowd roaring as they slugged it out in an action-packed fight! Kirkman had barely beaten James Beattie in a slugfest in the box-in round, and landed a crushing right that staggered Leon to start the bout! Following up with a searing combination and uppercut, he later blasted home a cranium-crusher, winning a big round, 19-10!

Spinks found the range with a beautiful hook to the body to take the 2nd, 15-11, and Boone was cut above his left eye. Kirkman took a spirited 3rd, 18-11, with some thunderous punches, and was in great shape after a 14-6 4th in which he rocked Spinks with an uppercut and a hook! Leon looked ready to go to sleep!

Leon came out slugging in the 5th, catching Kirkman with three punishing blows that had Boone dazed, and then Spinks lowered the boom with an uppercut that knocked Kirkman flat for a KO at 2:03 of the 5th! Kirkman had been winning big, but Leon’s mojo and grit won him the fight!
