Though he probably won't stay retired, I rather hope he will follow in Marciano's footsteps and go out now, while he's on top. I'm getting really tired of athletes who retire and come back and then retire and come back...it's boring and undignified.
It's especially tragic to see boxers who just don't know when to bow out gracefully.
Whatever Floyd decides to do, I wish he had waited until Monday to make this announcement. The attention of the boxing world should be focused on Kelly Pavlik.
