Title Fights
WW - (WBA/C) George Cole (CH) (23-10-4) scored a UD15 over Terry Martin (4/5) (25-6-1) to retain the WBA and the WBC WW titles. It was his second defense of the WBA and 4th of the WBC.
The fight wasn't really close and there were no cuts or knockdowns. The scores were 145-142/146-140/144-142.
HW - (NABF) Carl Morris (9/7) (19-0) (pre) was given a gift DQ9 win over Jeff Clark (17/26) (17-4-1) to retain his NABF title for the first time.
Clark was dominating the fight. He had won virtually every round and had dropped Morris in the 9th. He had been warned three times but never penalized when the ref DQ'd him. I had it 79-72 at the stoppage. Morris went to prime and will be forced to a rematch but not immediate. He can have one fight in between since Clark is suspended for 4 months.
Title Tourney
FW - (WBO - first round) Jerry Barnett (13/8) (22-8-1) moves on to face Terry McGovern in the second round with a DQ6 win over Johnny Kilbane (4/9) (24-5-2). Kilbane was penalized in the first round and then DQ'd in the 6th. I had it 49-45 Kilbane at the stoppage.
