nope, that is not what I said. In fact my direct quote is "I agree high rated players should not go unsigned."
I was suggesting some potential reasons to check out. If for example Dunn's demands are 5M year and no team has 5M to spend then yes he would go unsigned. theoretically that could happen in real life as well.
What I did say and do believe is that just hitting 40 homers doesn't make you a valuable quality. 240 hitters with 40 homers and close to 200 k's. don't impress me, If it weren't for his ability to walk almost 100 times a year, I would think Dunn was a complete bum. Even with the walks he is not the kind of guy I would sign.
IMO, HR's are overrated and the ability to avoid making outs is underrated.
