Only problem I can see with it not working on Mac's is Marcus would have to make two entirely different patches, for two entirely different distribution systems. Until there's a Mac version it's probably more trouble than it's worth.
Steam is awesome. I love it. Makes life so much simpler. I've got about 15 titles off the service and it's great when I get a new machine. Saves fannying about with disks, downloads etc... Just get Steam installed, get your games going, leave your system on.
Though I'd much prefer sticking with Elicense despite all that. I like how Elicense works. You don't have a secondary program running in the background for starters. I like Elicense's simplicity .
