BOSTON - Red Sox starter Scott Kazmir signed a three-year contract extension today, keeping the talented southpaw in Boston through 2014.
Kazmir, 27, is 6-2 with a 3.15 ERA in 11 starts this year. He owns a 74-40 lifetime record with a 3.82 ERA in 170 games.
Currently earning less than $4.9 million this season, Kazmir will make $5 million next year, $5.69 million in 2013 and $6.25 million in 2014.
