If you're running on a PC, could you go to this website
HexEdit and download the hexeditor, fire it up and open the retired.dat file in your saved game directory.
At the start of the file should be a 00 - could you reply listing what the next four sets hex numbers are. This will let me know how many records are in your retired players database.
