BOSTON - Red Sox pitcher Scott Kazmir improved to 8-2 on the season with an 8-2 victory over the Texas Rangers at Fenway Park.

While Kazmir held down the Rangers offense, Boston's lineup took advantage of just about every scoring opportunity presented them.
Conor Jackson went 3-for-4, Grady Sizemore went 2-for-4 with a double, run and a RBI. Miguel Cabrera went 1-for-4 with a double, a run and two RBI.
Mark Prior was charged with six runs on eight hits and two walks over 6 1/3 innings for the Rangers.
With the win, the Red Sox improve to 36-26 and remain a half game behind the Yankees. With the loss, the Rangers fall to 37-25 but remain 7 1/2 games ahead of Seattle in the AL West.
