Injury decisions...

Perhaps this has been discussed before- but I was thinking about some different injury permutations that would really add to the immersion level of the game (at least to me).

Imagine as part of the injury engine in the game- you, as the GM- would be given the option to either allow your star third baseman to play through a small shoulder tear (at, say, 80% effectiveness)- and absorb a small risk to further injury- or decide to choose surgery which would put him on the shelf for 8-12 weeks, but bring him back at 100%.

I know OOPT currently has injuries that a player can play through at a limited capacity- but it would be nice, as the GM, to to be given alternatives and make these decisions depending on where your team is in the standings, player age, contract terms, etc. I wouldn't want it to be the case with every injury- just a small percentage where elective surgery/downtime make sense. You could even make the percentages editable to suit people's taste (If only just in the form of editing the injuries.txt file).
