Well, I'm playing version 8 and I see them A LOT. I play out all of my games and don't have a DH (dratted DH ruins baseball
), and the computer makes double switches frequently when the pitcher is changed in the field. Does a reasonable good job of it if you ask me.
Sometimes I wonder if the AI uses too many of its relievers too early and is left with no options at the end, but I've learned that's more of a strategy setting vs year played conflict than a real AI problem, though it would be great if the AI could adapt to that as well.
EDIT: Forgot to mention that looking over boxscores it might be difficult to tell if it was a double switch or not. Not always obvious via the boxscore.
