The league is built on the structure of an alternate history of Soccer (Football) failing, the UK creating a baseball league in preparation for a world baseball league which never happened, but things took a sour turn that lead to high quality US players jumping to the UK.
Read about that here.
To make thinks more unique the league uses the Spritze/Garlon database with normalized stats
and random arrival for players. For those who don't know normalization takes all the players' stats and relates them to a standard. This puts players from the late 1800s on a more level playing field with players from the late 90s.
The random arrival is really fun, and makes for interesting draft classes, and teams. In the inaugural draft I got late 19th century 2B Cupid Childs, George "Babe" Ruth (The Pitcher), and Astros Slugger from the 70's Bob Watson.
This league is very laid back, and building it's history entirely. The file is very, very small as it is only the main league & it's Triple A league. Still a great time to get in, and be a part of a very creative and competitive league.
