I don't think normalization does any good either way. What I would like to see is something that would allow the game to adjust player ratings based on the historical parks they played in. Guys who hit in mammoth ballparks like Griffith Stadium or Forbes Field should have power ratings that reflect their true power. So, if you dropped them into Wrigley Field or the Baker Bowl, they could produce much higher home run totals.
