For anyone wondering why the fantasy baseball games were not simulated Tuesday, March 18, 2003, there is a legitimate reason. The Commissioner and I were driving down the highway in his Volvo. As we were traveling, some moron in an '89 Pinto swerved into our lane and swiped us right into the median. Not being too badly hurt, I looked at the car and it was in awful condition. Then I remembered about the Commissioner, and I ran to check on him. His last words to me were: "Shut down the Fantasy Baseball League"; he didn't care about anything else. I suffered minor cuts and bruises, but the Commissioner slipped into a coma. Before the ambulance got there, the Commissioner of this league was unconscious. Best of luck on the recovery of the Commissioner. Participants in the league, there is no more league. I am told the Commissioner will pull through within the week, but with a high and risky chance of amnesia. The odds of him remembering this are slim to none. Nonetheless, it was good while it lasted and no champion has been declared for this league. Maybe sooner more than later, the Commissioner will be back among his beloved money, expensive cars, and multiple lady friends.

I remember reading this email but I completely forgot about it. I'm glad after all these years you still happen to have it! It's definitely a classic.
