Well, lesson learned then...and hopefully OOTP download rage has subsided everywhere now.
I was just getting around to installing this morning, and was amused to see the following in the EULA:

I am comforted to know that, if I somehow manage to OOTP myself to death, Markus and Andreas will take full responsibility. I shall make sure my children know how to reach you.
