I'm missing something here, because this is not working; I'm sure if there were a bug it would have been reported already.

I don't have the screen in front me, but yes, morale works the same way. Near, or on, the word Morale, you should be able to click and it will expose all the areas affecting the player's mood. When you're not viewing morale, I believe it's the player's condition.
