BTW, I thought it was interesting to find out that baseball used a coin toss to determine the site of the 7th game of a best-of-7 series. I never would've guessed that.
I wasnt sure about the epidemic but I thought it was restricted to the west coast so I doublechecked with BaseballLibrary.com. (a great site for any one interested in baseball history btw).
The coin toss stuff is amazing. Just shows how things have changed. Imagine a coin toss to determine game 7 nowadays.
