Notes -

Milan scored 136 runs in their first 17 games. 35 more than any other team.
Copenhagen and Brussels had 12 and 11 game win streaks respectively in early May.
Zurich beat London 2-1 in a 20 inning game. A new EBL record for length of game.
London fired their manager in the middle of a 14 game losing streak. Their record at the time was 17-24. Oslo also got rid of their skipper whilst they were on a 1-11 run and were 18-30 overall.
Current runs at All-Star break: Prague 24-7, Brussels 12-1.
Five of last years' playoff teams are below .500. The common theme appears to be poorer pitching this season.

Player Notes -

April's players of the Month:

WL Batter - Aras Tansel (Brussels), .490/7/30
EL Batter - Adrien Guilbaud (Stockholm), .340/6/24
WL Pitcher - Nenad Jevtic (Milan), 5-0/2.90
EL Pitcher - Kaspar Ahlmann (Berlin), 5-2/1.95

Jevtic was also the unbeaten in May and was Pitcher of the Month. He has been beaten twice so far in June.
Paris RF Jovica Sesely and Berlin C Andrew Tsogas hit for the cycle in the same week in May.
Hitters of the Month for May were Ryan Reive (Vienna, WL) and Ratko Stanovcic (Moscow, EL). The EL's best pitcher was Copenhagen's Jakob Kjeldsen.
Evzen Bartos (Glasgow) pitched a no-hitter against London on 5th June, facing only 28 batters. He hit two batters, negating any chance for a perfect game.

Significant Injuries -

Lisbon SS Noel Connolly is out for the season. At 39 years-old, he might also be done for his career. In 1982 before his injury he was hitting .354 and had a .948 OPS. Renegades CF Edelberto Ares is also out for the year with a rib cage injury. He was .309 with 6 HR and 20 RBI in the two months before he had to be shut down.
Milan's Matthieu D'Urso, who leads the league in homers at the All-Star break with 18, has been out for 2 weeks and is likely out for 2 more.
Ryan Reive (Vienna), who was hitter of the month for May is out for the rest of the season after dislocating his shoulder on 14th June.
