PC Executable-Only Installation Instructions- Go to your OOTP program directory. By default it is C:\Program Files\Out of the Park Developments\OOTP Baseball 9
- Rename the file "ootp9.zip" to "ootp9.zip.old".
- Download the executable file from one of the links above and unzip.
- Copy the downloaded file into the OOTP program directory.
- Launch the game.
I get to step 2 and I don't see the ootp9.zip. I see ootp9.exe. Is this what I should rename to ootp9.exe.old ? I'm probably missing somethign obvious. Thanks.

I was wondering that too, but I imagine that, yes, he must have been referring to the .exe. The thing I'm wondering now, though, is: does the downloaded zip really need to be in the program directory? I doubt it, but maybe that's why he mentioned the zip before and we were supposed to have it in there before. I like to keep my install files in a separate folder elsewhere.
EDIT: The answer, as Steve has edited the instructions, is: no, you only need to put the new exe from the downloaded zip into that folder. It should have been obvious, I guess, but it seemed like he worded it oddly, but consistently, twice, which must have thrown me.
