Hi there! I must admit, I'm a little confused about this statement. There shouldn't be any reason that you should HAVE to buy both versions of the game. I wasn't aware that there were any roster problems that were specific to one operating system or the other??
Mods should work equally on either operating system. If they don't, well, then that's a problem that should be worked through technical support, or with the creator of the mod, and it really shouldn't be a reason to force you to buy two copies of the game!
Unfortunately, there's not much we can do about the fact that you purchased the game shortly before a discount appeared. As you can imagine, these sorts of promotions need to be very fixed in duration. If we could afford to sell the game at $30 all the time, we would.
But, you can also imagine the can of worms it would open if we made exceptions. If we let everyone who bought the game in the last week get in on the discount, there would be complaints from those who bought the game TWO weeks ago, or one week AFTER the discount.
Sadly, any time you do a promotion, there will be people who miss out on the timing.
I ran into this outside of
OOTP the other day when I bought a DVD player, and several days later the company began offering it at a 20% discount. (I asked - they wouldn't give me the lower price.
)
Anyway, I apologize about the unfortunate timing for you.
