Events - April 1920
April 8: The Allied Forces demand that the Netherlands extradite Kaiser Wilhelm II, who has fled there.
April 11: The Netherlands refuse, creating a temporary if unlikely alliance between the Germans and the Dutch (note: only allied countries can trade with each other).
April 14: The Spanish Foreign Legion is founded. +1 culture to Spain!
April 16: The Russians sign a peace treaty with the newly formed country of Estonia. Since no Moscow ballplayers were suspended due to this action, there's no net effect.
April 26: The first dog track with a mechanical rabbit opens in California. +1 culture for all Americans! Only kidding.
April 27: Adolf Hitler proposes his idea of National Socialism to Munich.
Madrid Makes Up For 430 Years of Bad Blood, Trades Top Stars To Mexico City
In a move designed to improve the relations between Spain and Mexico more than anything else, the Madrid Matadors announced during spring training that they are trading their 1-2 punch on the mound of Jesus Galvan (20-11, 2.34 ERA) and Mario "Don Quixote" Ramos (16-18, 2.74) to the Aztecs for a bevy of prospects. "We realize that we have little chance of competing against the likes of England, France, and Germany," said Madrid GM and King of Spain Alfonso XIII. "The people of Spain just want to see a member of the Spanish Empire succeed, and for now that team shall be Mexico City."
