I had the same issue. Ordered half a day before the promotion started. E-mailed OOTPD to explain my situation and ask for a possible refund of the discount...though, sadly, got no response.
Not getting a refund isn't preferable but it's okay...I, like many here, want to support the continued innovation of the company. Still, jeers to the customer service in this case. I needed that reassuring P.R.-speak e-mail to lure me into a continued loyal addiction to the
OOTP franchise. Even a canned response, or perhaps a ghost-written message of friendship attributed to futility infielder Ron Coomer would have wholly sufficed.
Don't go too corporate on me, Heinsohn Industries! I've been burned by friends lost to corporatism before (what have they done to you, Diamond Mind Baseball?)
