The teams at the top of the standings had an off week, which caused the overall standings to tighten up considerably. The two teams that benefited the most were the Buffalo Bisons and the surprising Providence Grays, who are flirting with their first .500 season ever.

After league-leading Boston finishes its series in Cleveland this week (one game remains), they head to red-hot Buffalo for a three-game series. This will be a real test for the Big Three.
