Only a handful of games were played in April as the season didn’t start till the 18th, but already the Mansfields have made themselves known to the league. As expected, the Canaries find themselves already with 4 losses, which is more games than most teams have played. A handful of teams, including last year’s champions have yet to play.
Washington catcher Josh Croyle extended his hitting streak from last season into his first two games of this one. That put his streak at 27 games, which eclipsed the mark of 26 set by teammate John Arend.
