1985 Playoffs

October 20th 1985 -

Wildcard Round:

Brussels 1 Dublin 6 - Brussels only managed 4 hits against 4 Wolfpack pitchers.
Brussels 3 Dublin 0 - Jesus Ruiz allowed just 3 base runners in 8 innings.
Dublin 5 Brussels 2 (11) - Lukas Happ had a 2 RBI triple in the 11th.
Dublin 5 Brussels 1 - Dublin ensure there will be no repeat for the Hitmen.

Amsterdam 2 Milan 1 - Tymosz Leszcznska pitched 8 strong innings in his first playoff start.
Amsterdam 4 Milan 6
Milan 4 Amsterdam 16 - 6 different Selects hitters scored multiple runs.
Milan 8 Amsterdam 2 - Philippe Martin was 4/5 for Milan.
Amsterdam 7 Milan 8 (10) - Amsterdam scored 2 in the 9th to force extra innings, but Milan got two singles and a ground out RBI to win it and move on.

Copenhagen 6 Prague 1 - Alexis Martin gave up just the 1 run in 8 innings of work.
Copenhagen 6 Prague 10 - Prague scored 5 in the 1st. Copenhagen's Peter Osland and Prague's Chris Kos both had 2 homers.

Prague 3 Copenhagen 11 - Thomas Meinert and Rudolf Tuhina had 9 RBI between them.

Oslo 3 Hamburg 4
Oslo 0 Hamburg 2 - Ned 'Blanks' Zijm struck out 11 Metros in 8 innings, allowing just 5 hits.
Hamburg 3 Oslo 0 - Roque Vilardeb shut out Oslo over 7 innings to get Hamburg into the next round.


League Championship Series:

Dublin 3 Milan 2 - Igoryok Vishipanov hit a solo homer in the 9th to put the Wolfpack ahead.
Dublin 2 Milan 3 (10) - Marcello Pierdomenico hit a walk off single in his first at bat after coming on as a defensive replacement.
Milan 4 Dublin 0 - Dublin only managed 4 hits against Tuure Lumme and 2 relievers.
Milan 5 Dublin 15 - Dublin set a playoff record for runs in an inning with 11 in the 5th.
Milan 3 Dublin 7 - Both teams scored all of their runs in the 7th. Vladimir Pantelic had a Grand Slam for the winners.
Dublin 4 Milan 2- Erik Paulsen allowed only 1 hit over 6 innings.

Copenhagen 4 Hamburg 3
Copenhagen 2 Hamburg 6 - Hamburg scored 4 runs in the 1st and Adrian Sandrakos pitched 8 strong innings.
Hamburg 11 Copenhagen 3 - Copenhagen led 2-0 but Hamburg powered past them.
Hamburg 7 Copenhagen 3
Hamburg 5 Copenhagen 4 - Billy Pawlett's 3-run homer in the 8th made it interesting, but Jim Boogermans had a 1-2-3 9th to send Hamburg to the Series.
