Notes -

Glasgow won 13 games in a row in July to take control of the North Sea division. Dublin faded over the second half then collapsed in September.
Amsterdam and Lisbon also had good July's to enhance their playoff credentials. The Renegades won 19 games in the month and the Selects went 2 better. On the other hand Vienna struggled mightily and lost 21 games in July.
Hamburg won 16 of 19 games to overtake Copenhagen and held on to win the division.
Oslo fired their manager in late August.
Amsterdam had the biggest inning of the season with an 11 run effort against Barcelona in a 15-7 win.
All 24 teams have now qualified for the playoffs at least once. Lisbon were the last team to achieve it and they did it in style with the best record in the league.
Milan and Athens lost on the last day to hand the final Wildcard spots to Amsterdam and Helsinki. The Avalanche's loss was particularly heartbreaking as they went down in 13 innings to Stockholm.

Player Notes -

Quite a few unfamiliar names won monthly awards in the second half of the season. Here is the compete list -

WL Hitter - Ludwig Herzog (Glasgow), Salmund Jaerbyn (Vienna), Jason Dyer (Amsterdam)
EL Hitter - Dragutin Vasiljevic (Helsinki), Pantalian Lobeiro (Stockholm), Jacquy Gilbert (Sofia)
WL Pitcher - Callum Cayzer (Glasgow), Woody Lyth (Amsterdam), Eugen Linge (Lisbon)
EL Pitcher - Jeirgif Izvekov (Berlin), Kaspar Ahlmann (Berlin), Hellmuth Seipel (Athens)

Quentin van Rossum (Hamburg) pitched a one-hitter against Warsaw on July 14th. There were also one-hitters for Sindre Grondalen (Oslo) and Kaspar Ahlmann (Berlin).
Tyrone Panagiotopou of Amsterdam struck out 14 Dublin hitters in a 5-1 win on July 21st.
Berlin acquired Sammy Denny from Madrid for their unsuccessful playoff push. He led the league with 14 wins at the time and finished with 19.
Lisbon's Roque Vilardeb pitched a two-hitter on 31st July against London. His team-mate Jedrus Martynski pitched a 10 inning complete game on August 17th, winning 1-0 against Dublin.
Madrid team-mates Oscar Gottlieb and Daniel Keurost combined to outplay Zurich on their own. Gottlieb pitched a shutout, giving up 3 hits and Keurost was 5 for 5 as the Hawks won 17-0.

Significant Injuries -

Max Sabin (Vienna) injured himself in a Euro Championship year again. He missed the last 2 months of the season and will not be available for England (again!).
Callum Maxwell (Stockholm) missed the last month of the season with a groin injury. The 36 year-old will not be fit for the start of the European Championships, so might not be selected by Scotland.
Maxwell's team-mate Ian Meoni missed a month with a wrist injury, then injured himself again on the last day of the season, meaning he will miss the Euros for Switzerland. He hit .309, with 21 homers this season.
Prague's Bernard Wulker missed most of the last month of the season.
Amsterdam's progress in the playoffs will be hampered by late season injuries picked up by Kristof Kis and Constantino Deodato. Kis should be back if they advance to the WLCS, but Deodato will miss all of the playoffs.
Hamburg will also be missing a key part for the playoffs, with Samuel Polach on the sidelines. He hit 32 HR for the Heat in 1988.
