August 3: Presidential elections are held in Mexico. Hooray stability! +1 culture for the Aztecs.
August 8: A bomb explodes in Wall Street, killing 38 and wounding 400. Fortunately, the Giants were out of town that day.
August 11: London forms the "Flying Squad", later nicknamed "The Sweeney" due to Cockney rhyme slang that just makes my head hurt to think about it. Nonetheless, +1 culture for the Monarchs.
August 20: A big chunk of Carinthia Province decides to become part of Austria rather than Yugoslavia. That also means more fertile baseball ground, and as such the Musik add 2 prospects to their rolls.
August 28: Alvaro Obregon is announced as elected President of Mexico.
August 29: Citing a need to have its home in a city without a baseball team, the League of Nations relocates to Geneva, Switzerland.
