What was billed as a pitching matchup between two of the best pitchers in the American/Asian league turned into a matchup between 4th starters after a rain delay in the 5th inning. Chicago's long man turned out to be the superior one.

The good news for London is, this was only one game. Fat Freddie Turvill couldn't get out of the 4th and his replacements fared no better. Paris, the top hitting team in the European League for the second straight year, blasted London for 20 hits and this one was never close after the 2nd. Catcher Laurent Garnier finished a double away from a cycle.
