Elmer Steele allowed just one unearned run in nine innings, Tris Speaker had four hits and 2 RBI and Joe Jackson had three hits and an RBI as the United States continued its dominance in this year's World Cup. Ted Easterly had three hits and Mike Donlin two hits and two RBI for the Americans. *Rikiya Hirano and *Tokimasa Onishi had two hits apiece for Japan.
