No matter what I think we have to afford anyone who wants/needs it, the same time we've given this pick. The draft rules are very clear about no exceptions and on the first pick of the first draft, there is an exception being made.
I have no problem with it, things happen . . . but if this pick get 30 hours (or 40 or 80) then that's what I should get, should I need it (ditto for everyone).
Either that or declare the first pick forfeited and let's move on.
