I sometimes handle all teams in a league. One day, while I was dealing with a pop-up injury window, it occured to me.

How about an option for a pop-up on all trade proposals between AI teams?

Then the player can nix the deal if it's a real dog, or give the okay? It solves the trades that blow the illusion for the individual player. One player may think the trade is fine; another thinks it's stupid. Make your own decision, or turn the option off. It's whatever is most "real" to the individual player.

This option could be available for God-mode, or for manager mode.

I mean, it's not unprecedented even in real life if you're familiar with Charlie O and the Oakland A's fire sale in the mid 70s. The Commish stepped in and said basically, " Charlie O. You're an idiot. This ain't good for baseball. I rule you stupid. Vida Blue, go back to the A's."
