April 10-SS Bobby Harris hit the first homerun in Mules history, a two run shot in the 2nd inning that gave Newmarket a 2-1 lead, a lead they would not surrender as the Mules beat the Bulldogs 3-1. Jesus Guardado pitched eight innings, allowing just four hits and one run while striking out six earning the first ever victory for the Mules. Other firsts for Newmarket consisted of Fernando Peraltz picking up the first hit, a single, Ryan Vickerson scoring the first run and John Coury picking up the first save. (1-0)

April 11-Jack Muirhead went 3-3 with an RBI for Portland as they earn their first franchise victory, beating the Mules 4-3. SS Jacob Davis had two hits and a run scored for Portland, while C Todd Lewis went 3-5 with 3 singles and an RBI for Newmarket in the loss. John Miller allowed 7 hits over eight innings for the Bulldogs, picking up the win. (1-1)

April 12-Roberto "The Dominator" Rodriguez hit his first HR, a two run blast, and Bobby Harris went 2-4 with two RBI as Newmarket beat Portland 4-3. George Thomas went the first seven innings, allowing eight hits and three walks with four strikeouts and John Coury pitched the final two innings to earn the save. (2-1)

April 13-A wild game saw Newmarket score ten times over the first two innings, capped by a two run HR from Ryan Vickerson who drove in three runs for the game. After two innings, the Mules lead 10-3, however Portland would make a game of it, before falling just short, losing three of four to Newmarket, 12-9. C Luis Ortiz went 2-4 with a homer and four runs scored for the winners, while C Jon Benson homered twice and drove in three runs for Portland in the loss. (3-1)

April 15-1B Millard Watkins, coming into the game 0-15 had his first two hits of the year, including a two run homerun, and Aaron Brown added a two run double as the Mules beat the Riot again, today 5-2. Jesus Guardado pitched his 2nd straight solid game, going seven innings, scattering seven hits and just one run, while striking out two earning his 2nd win in as many starts. (5-1)

On Opening Day, history was made in Peabody Mass, as Nashua P Felipe Garcia no hit the Tanners as Nashua beat Peabody 6-0. Garcia was masterful, as the only thing that stood between him and a perfect game was an error by 3B Mike McCarthy. He struck out 10 and threw exactly 100 pitches in the gem. Boxscore below:
