April 24,25,26 at Bangor Crusaders (10-3)

April 24-Mario Decos came back to bite his old team, going 2-4 with a pair of RBI, and Pedro Rangel pitched eight innings, allowing seven hits and just one run with two walks and four strikeouts as Bangor beat Newmarket 3-1. Fernando Peralta had three hits and drove in the only run of the game for the Mules in the loss. (10-5)

April 25-The Crusaders hit three homeruns off Alex Herman, and Tony Aguirre pitched eight innings, giving up eight hits and two runs with four strikeouts as Bangor handled Newmarket easily, 7-2. Scott Fullerton and Sergio Hernandez each homered in the loss. (10-6)

April 26-Newmarket avoided the sweep behind Jesus Flores, who continued his torrid start in a Mules uniform, shutting down his former team, allowing four hits and two runs, one earned, with four walks and four strikeouts over eight innings, and Alberto Flores went 2-4 with a homeruns and three RBI, as the Mules beat the Crusaders 4-2. (11-6)

April 27,28,29 v Orono Riot (7-8)

April 27-Scott Fullerton hit a two out, two run single in the bottom of the seventh inning as the Mules snuck past the Riot, 3-2. Chester Griffin won the pitching duel, going eight innings, allowing five hits and one run with no walks and seven strikeouts, while John Coury pitched the ninth for his 2nd save in as many days. Luis "Deathblow" Hernandez was the hard luck loser for Orono, going eight, giving up four hits and three runs with five strikeouts. (12-6)

April 28-Roberto Rodriguez hit his first HR since Opening Day, a two run shot and it was all the offense Wallace Harrison would need as he pitched eight innings, giving up six hits and one run with no walks and four strikeouts, as Newmarket nipped Orono, 2-1. Guillermo Jaimes picked up the loss, despit allowing just three hits and two runs over seven innings for the Riot. (13-6)

April 29-A four run 6th inning, capped by a RBI single from Roberto Rodriguez helped the Mules sweep the Riot, beating them 4-3. Jesus Guardado pitched seven innings, surrendering just four hits and one run with one walk and three strikeouts, picking up his 3rd win of the year. The 14-6 month was the best month in the history of the Newmarket franchise. (14-6)

-The Danvers Falcons, currently last in the SL Massachusetts Division are sporting a team ERA of 6.49 through 20 games, while the Salem Witches aren't much better at 6.01.
