Although some of us like to use the
OOTP engine to create unique or "ideal" baseball worlds, at least half of the people who play online leagues play real-team, real-player leagues, and
OOTPO sounds like it would be ideal for them. They don't want customization or anything that varies from the real-world experience, and that's okay, especially if it funds or enables the existence of an engine that is flexible enough to satisfy everyone.
I get the impression that Markus himself doesn't play fictional, if that tells you anything.
