Hall Opens Door Wider, Four Inducted

The Hall Of Fame today announced that they were lowering the second level hitting criteria for induction. The HOF will now induct players who accumulated a total of 2,350 or more hits provided that their batting average was .290 or higher. As a result, the following four players have been included in the HOF class of 1940:

Heinie Manush, Right Fielder
