Yeah... another thing about wins and losses in your period is that guys always or nearly always finished games they started, so there's very little chance for someone else to vulture victories or turn a close game into a loss. Ironically, earned runs, if anything, would have meant more back then than they do now; I think nowadays there's a sense that very few pitchers have the ability to prevent earned runs who don't also have the ability to prevent runs; back then, though, when errors were through the roof, it made a great deal of sense to separate the runs a pitcher was responsible for and those he wasn't.

I notice that I am seeing none of the "average and over" for your players. WHERE IS THE MODULUS
