NL Player of the Week: River Little (Oyster River) .440 (11-25) 2 HR 3 RBI
SL Player of the Week: Scott Elliott (Manchester) .438 (7-16) 3 HR 9 RBI

-Antonio Rios of the Nashua Titans will miss the remainder of the year with a fractured orbital bone, suffered after being hit by a pitch in a game earlier this week. On the year, Rios had struggled, hitting just .192 with 3 homeruns and 7 RBI. However, he has hit 31 homeruns in each of the NEBL's first two seasons, driving in 86 runs in 2008 and 69 runs last year for the Titans.

-Rob Gibson of the Portsmouth Clippers is attempting to wrest the MVP award away from two time winner Roberto Rodriguez. Gibson is hitting .316 and already has 10 homeruns, in just 20 games after hitting 19 last year in 98 games. He has also struck out just twice in 79 AB's.

-Could it be that Roman Ramirez of the Exeter Blue Hawks is finally living up to his potential? So far on the year, "Nightmare" is 3-1 with a 0.97 ERA in five starts. He has pitched 37 innings, allowing 25 hits and walking just four while striking out 37. He has won just six games in each of the first two years of the NEBL. (His ratings are 64/78/88)

Ending April and heading into May for the Mules are three games at home against the Dover Green Wave followed by the Oyster River Bobcats coming to Newmarket for three.
