Dodgers sweep way to NLCS
Brewers win streak turns to losing streak

MILWAUKEE - The Los Angeles Dodgers will advance to the National League Championship Series after sweeping the Brewers.
The Dodgers pitching staff was oppressive in the three-game set with Milwaukee, giving up five runs, four earned, in 27 innings. Chan Ho Park gave up three runs in eight innings in Game 1, Darren Dreifort threw eight shutout innings in Game 2, and Ismael Valdez yielded one run on five hits in six innings in Game 3.
Surprisingly, Chris Widger led the offense, hitting for the cycle in Game 1 and hitting .500 (6-for-12) with two doubles, a triple and two home runs and five RBI in the NLDS. Widger hit just .213 with three home runs and 15 RBI in 77 games with Los Angeles in the regular season.
The Dodgers will face either the Florida Marlins or Houston Astros in the NLCS. The Marlins lead the best-of-five series against the Astros with a 2-to-1 advantage.
