Bagwell out for World Series
Star slugger's leg injury puts him on bench

HOUSTON - The Astros may have won Game 1 of the World Series, but it came with a hefty price as firstbaseman Jeff Bagwell suffered an injury that will keep him out of the lineup for the rest of the series.

Bagwell suffered the injury running the bases. He went 1-for-3 with a walk, a double and two RBI in Game 1. Jack Voigt will replace Bagwell at first base for the remainder of the World Series. Voigt hit .214 with six home runs and 15 RBI in 117 at bats with the Astros and Cincinnati Reds this season.
