Gold Glove winners announced
Outfielder Finley wins third Gold Glove

NEW YORK - This year's Gold Glove winners were announced today and only four of the 18 have previously taken the trophy home.
San Diego Padres outfielder Steve Finley won his third Gold Glove in four years while New York Mets firstbaseman John Olerud, Toronto Blue Jays secondbaseman Mark McLemore, and Chicago Cubs outfielder Sammy Sosa each took home the award for the second time.
The first time winners were Minnesota Twins pitcher Bob Tewksbury, Pittsburgh Pirates pitcher Esteban Loaiza, Cincinnati Reds catcher Mike Redmond, Kansas City Royals catcher Mike Sweeney, Los Angeles Dodgers second baseman Randy Velarde, Philadelphia Phillies third baseman Scott Rolen, Florida Marlins shortstop Edgar Renteria, New York Yankees shortstop Derek Jeter, Boston Red Sox outfielder Carl Everett, Detroit Tigers outfielder Bobby Higginson, Montreal Expos outfielder Billy McMillon, and three Texas Rangers: firstbaseman Greg Norton (traded to Houston on October 27), third baseman Fernando Tatis, and outfielder Rusty Greer.
