I let the computer import settings but till 1900 i have been lowering it by 3.
So far from 1871-1878 I still have a few .400 hitters but i couldnt accept Scott Hastings having 179 errors in a 60 game season.
Oh and whats your active roster size? Mine was 16. I went to 18 in 1876.
Anyways its good to see your league is still going. I forgot if you play ever game or sim the season. Just keep going. 1900 will be there soon and then hey its only 108 more years to go.

Yes, I switched to OOTP9 prior to the 1882 season. This season, my errors are set to 5.469. Each season, I run a spreadsheet comparing my league's error rate to the real-life error rate for the next season, thus allowing me to constantly approach the right number. (I will admit, though, that 1882 seems to skew a little high, since all those new AA players aren't usually all that great in the field. I expect the error rate to be around 4.5 next season.)
I haven't messed with roster size much. I wasn't sure how the game would handle it, so I'm just letting them use a full 25-man roster.
I am playing out every game, sort of. I sim to the seventh inning of each game and then play out all the close ones.

Worcester Ruby Legs 25-41
Chicago White Stockings 23-42
Boston took two of three from Detroit last week, and it's looking like their hold on the National League pennant is fairly safe. This week, they travel to lowly Chicago, so they shouldn't have too much trouble holding the advantage over Detroit.
