Not sure about the other poster, but I just bought the game yesterday so I have the most up to date version. It still doesn't start the early years (have tried 1871-1876 so far) properly. It either says there are an uneven number of teams, or that both leagues need to have the same number of divisions to start.

This is quite frustrating. Why is this even an issue? Seems like this part of the game needs a lot of work. I should be able to edit the league structure somehow to allow it to work, but I can't.
