May 16-Alberto Flores went 3-4 with a double, homerun and three RBI and Luis Ortiz, back from a season long injury, hit his first homerun of the season as Newmarket snuck past Augusta, 7-5. Felipe Garcia continued his perfect start, going seven innings, allowing eight hits and three runs, walking one and striking out 10 in the win. Jose Salinas lead the Moose offense, going 2-4 with an RBI in the loss. (28-9)

May 17-Alberto Flores hit a two run HR in the first inning and Roberto Rodriguez added an RBI double as well, helping Newmarket beat Augusta again, today 5-2. Juan Jose Fernandez struck out nine over seven strong innings, and improved to 5-0 on the year. Quint Kobes hit a solo HR, his 5th of the year in the victory. John Coury pitched a perfect ninth, striking out two and lowering his ERA to 0.64 in earning his 12th save. (29-9)

May 18-Newmarket scored four times in the bottom of the first inning, but Augusta chipped away scoring twice in the 2nd, 3rd and 5th innings, and avoided the sweep, beating the Mules, 6-5. Jesus Guardado really struggled, allowing 12 hits and six runs over five innings, falling to 6-2 on the year. Yoshihito Ando went 2-4 with two RBI leading the Augusta offense. (29-10)

May 19,20,21 at Portland Bulldogs (14-25)
May 19-Chris Briggs pitched the first no hitter in Newmarket history, coming within a 7th inning hit batter of pitching a perfect game as the Mules blanked the Bulldogs 8-0. Briggs threw 104 pitches, 75 for strikes, walking noone and striking out 14, improving to 6-2 on the year. Pablo Alvarez went 2-4 with two doubles and three RBI to lead the Mules attack, while former Mules P Chester Griffin struggled, allowing eight runs and nine hits over seven innings. (30-10)

May 20-Pablo Alvarez and Jeffrey Franklin each had two hits and two RBI and Scott Fullerton and Fernando Peralta had two hits and one run knocked in as the Mules beat Portland 7-5. Adrian Hall went 2-4 with a homerun and three RBI in the loss for the Bulldogs. (31-10)
