SGCBL looking for a few good GM's for 2019!

The SGCBL is starting its 17th season and heading into the 2019. Now is a good time to grab one of the available teams and get their off-season strategy in place before it's too late to affect things.

The "Tolkien Baseball" league was established in 2003 as one of OOTP's most creative and eclectic online leagues. Just remember: the names may be silly, but the baseball is real!

- League URL: Solonor's Groovy Computer Baseball League
- Special league rules: http://rasreth.com/baseball/SGCBLRules.htm
- Number of teams: 24

We have an unusual mix of male and female participants of all age groups and nationalities. The oldest member is in her 50's. The youngest is a teenager. There are team owners from Australia, France, the UK, the Netherlands and Canada and U.S. states including Hawaii, Michigan, Florida, New York, Nebraska, Ohio, Utah and more.

You can approach any owner in our league to see if they would like a GM to run things for them, too. Currently, there are a few teams that operate this way.

Check out the very active forum for more info: SGCBL Owner Forum: Index page

We currently have the following openings for GM's:

Grey Havens Stars
Lake Town Archers
Mirkwood Marauders

None of these teams has an active owner, but they would like to keep their names on the front door anyway. In effect, you would have total control over the team.

Both the Carrock Bears and the Weathertop Witch Kings are available to own outright.

"Beings will come, Frodo. The one constant through all the years has been baseball. Middle Earth has rolled by like an army of Mumakil. It has been erased like a slate, rebuilt and erased again. But baseball has marked the time. This field, this game: it's a part of our past, Frodo. It reminds of us of all that once was good and it could be again. Oh... beings will come Frodo. Beings will most definitely come." - Gladden Field of Dreams
