Jimmy Reilly (17-3-4)(6) UD4 Battling Nelson (23-1-0)(6)

A bad time for Nelson to lose his perfect record.

Reilly pulled off an upset win thanks to right hand combination that dropped Nelson in the second stanza.

Jack Goldswain (19-1-3)(5) MD4 Kid McPartland (19-2-3)(1)

Big efforts in the last two rounds saw Goldswain secure a majority draw.

Judge McDougall was the official able to split the pair, he surprisingly gave it 40-36 to Goldswain, enabling the Englishman to advance to a final bout against Jimmy Reilly.
