I like the intent... displaying the logo on-screen at a larger size... and I think its important to have these logos displayed as close to 150x150 as you can get. That's because if you're designing one and you know they most commonly show up in some smaller size, then the temptation is to start designing for that smaller size, removing some detail you might otherwise leave in.
I think you have to choose carefully which screens and the logo's placement on them otherwise it just shows up in a seemingly haphazard fashion or maybe dominates the screen to no real purpose. The team's home page (as in the example) is a good selection; the first one I'd pick.
So bottom line is I like this idea.
