I went with paint.net and it is great for jerseys. I never got the hang of using GIMP. I use paint.net for 99% of my graphics.

Thanks for the layer. When I use that jersey, it works out fine, but I wanted to be able to create and post jerseys here that others might want to use. If a jersey includes the full image instead of the truncate image it just looks bad.
I tried a number of times to get the hang of GIMP and paint.net, but just couldn't figure out either one. I have some nice ideas but I'm not very graphically adept. So I just abandoned jersey creation for a while.
Thus my very late reply to your kind post.
Maybe I'll give jersey creation a shot once again next weekend, using your extra layer.
