BOSTON — The Fenway Faithful haven't had much to cheer about this year, but Red Sox fans were loud as ever when New York Yankees shortstop Derek Jeter flew out to centerfield in the eighth inning.

Jeter went hitless in three at bats, snapping his 36-game hit streak and ending his pursuit of Joe DiMaggio's record 56 consecutive games with a hit.
