The Hartford Whalers are dominating the American League at 40-11. The New York Yankees have gotten back on track, going 22-6 in the month of May. Tampa is tied with New York, and Portland has a hold on the final playoff spot, with Cleveland one game out. The worst teams are Buffalo and New Orleans at 18-33.

It looks like the class of the National League this year is the Mets and the Pirates. The Carolina Storm are still playing solid baseball at 30-21 and are tied with Las Vegas and Los Angeles for 3rd place. The worst NL teams are Colorado, Florida, and San Diego at 19-32.
